Tech Steps Yearly Calender

Ballet Australisia Limited Exams

Every year in August our students have the opportunity to participate in the BAL examinations in Tap, Jazz and Hip Hop. While it is completely up to the student whether they participate in exams or not, we encourage them to learn the material and sequences as it gives them a personal goal to work towards and a sense of achievement. BAL is a world wide recognised organisation and attainment of certificates in the exams can lead to further study and qualifications in Dance.

For the exams, students must be in the correct uniform (as seen opposite).

For more information about BAL, please refer to the link on our homepage.

Events

Every year we often find ourselves invited to various community events such as Arts on Fire, Carols by Candlelight, The Apple Festival and fund raisers. We also perform to aged care homes and participate in the Christmas parade every December.

Concerts/Productions

Once exams are over we begin working on routines for the end of the year concert. All students participate in the end-of-year concerts (whether or not they have participated in exams) and it features a range of dance styles, costumes and music. We often choose a theme or a story to emulate through dance.
